Lee was admitted as an attorney in 1999, and commenced her career specialising in litigation, representing banks, as well insolvency practitioners. She has since 2005 held roles as legal counsel and company secretarial for multi-national organisations in the insurance, information services, manufacturing and FMCG sectors. In these roles she advised boards and management, locally and abroad, on a diverse range of commercial, legal, and regulatory compliance matters.
Lee has extensive experience in reviewing, negotiating and drafting high value, complex commercial agreements, including those governing manufacturing, software and information technology, franchise, agency, transportation, property leasing, intellectual property usage and license agreements, terms and conditions of sale, sponsorship agreements, small un-secured loans, and other service and supply agreements.
Lee also served organisations in the management of compliance and governance. In this regard she oversaw the implementation of POPIA, and advised on consumer law, advertising and product claim regulations, and aspects of competition law. Lee had further advised on corporate transactions, drafting agreements for the sale of shares and memorandums of incorporation, and ancillary documents.
