Wills, Trusts & Estates

(ABOUT)

Our Wills, Trusts and Estates Department provides for the fiduciary needs of a broad spectrum of clients.  We offer expert and effective estate planning advice for the simple family environment to high net worth and cross-jurisdictional clients.

We assist with the drafting of wills in accordance with your specific instructions and we provide all necessary advice on what to include in your will and who to appoint as the executor of your will. We will explain to you the practical considerations of the Estate Administration process so as to ensure that the winding up of deceased estates are managed as smoothly and as sensitively as possible.

We also provide specialist advice and structuring in the field of trusts, advising on tax and other considerations in relation to trusts and we will explain the utilisation of trusts to achieve effective estate planning outcomes.

We provide up to date and informed advice on the formation of family and charitable trusts, establishing trust deeds that take into account the tax and legal landscape governing trusts and which offer the required estate and asset protection.

A significant part of our service offering is providing a full-service trust administration to ensure that estate planning structures that are in place are effectively managed and maintained. As part of this service we will also fulfill the role of Independent Professional Trustee, with both aspects being of vital importance in the current tax and legal environment applicable to trusts.
