Claire is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary and a registered member of the Fiduciary Institute of South Africa. She has specialised in the fiduciary field since 2008.
She works with clients in providing a full range of estate planning structures, taking into account both local and global perspectives and the impact of exchange control, estate duty and tax on such structures.
She offers a full professional Trust administration practice and the service of independent professional Trustee, providing an active and personalised function in the role, ensuring compliance with legislation, taxation and best practice.
As part of her practice, she assists with the formation and administration of both Testamentary Will Trusts and Inter Vivos Family Trusts (including Special and Charitable Trusts), reviews on existing Inter Vivos Trust Deeds, offering advice on amendments required to bring Trust Deeds in line with the current legal and tax environment, as well as all matters required for the proper administration of a Trust, taking into account the ever increasing compliance requirements being applied to Trusts.
Additionally, a large part of her practice is attending to the winding up of deceased estates and working with offshore service providers in assisting with any offshore assets in the applicable jurisdictions.
