Safiyya joined Thomson Wilks in 2009 as an articled clerk, and was admitted as an attorney in 2011, after a successful career in the FMCG sector where she had steered a major Food Manufacturing company through a merger and acquisition. Safiyya has an established Middle East footprint in excess of two decades, and she represents Thomson Wilks Inc. as its Middle East Director, based in Dubai, U.A.E.
Safiyya has completed multiple foreign direct transactions, company formations in Africa and the Middle East, and specializes in Commercial Agreements, Corporate Law, International Trade and Offshore Company strategy. She is an astute and dynamic international attorney with demonstrated success as an attorney transacting in the international arena.
She speaks regularly at conferences promoting trade, and foreign direct investments, integrating the international legal environment & regulations supporting business opportunities, whilst overcoming cross border and governmental challenges.
She has also served as President of the South African Business Council, Dubai U.A.E as and represented South Africa in procuring foreign direct investment.
