Tumisang is a director of Thomson Wilks, practising from its head office in Sandton.
Tumisang graduated from the University of the Witwaterstrand with a B. Proc in 1995 and an LLB degree in 1997. In 1998 he received a Higher Diploma in Company Law and in 2000 obtained his LLM in Tax.
In 2011, Tumisang completed the Wits Business School International Executive Development Program and in 2014 he completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program.
After completing his articles in 1999, Tumisang practised as an attorney in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department of Bowman Gilfillan before joining Clifford Chance LLP in London as a member of the firm’s Debt and Equity Capital Markets Group.
Tumisang returned to South Africa and re-joined Bowman Gilfillan before taking an appointment with Barclays Bank as a manager in its Africa Merchant Banking Team. Subsequently, Tumisang has held a number of executive positions in state owned enterprises and private companies. He is now a director of Thomson Wilks and heads up our Insolvency and Business Rescue Division as a registered Experienced Business Rescue Practitioner.
